GLOBAL CORPORATE QUALITY DIRECTOR

Our client, a leading Canadian furniture manufacturer, requires a global Corporate Quality Director to be based at its operations in Canada or Mexico.  This is an opportunity to develop and lead a system-wide Quality Culture, with the goal of creating a corporate mindset and philosophy focused on producing quality products, sourcing quality manufacturing inputs, delivering quality services, and fostering quality relationships and partnerships – and championing this ‘culture of quality’ at all levels within the organization and among external suppliers, partners and customers.

As the organization’s quality champion, the Quality Director provides leadership to all locations in North America and throughout the global supply chain in enabling and building sustainability through continuous improvement.  This involves creating, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive quality strategy and ‘quality first’ initiatives designed to infuse quality into the ‘DNA’ of the organization.

Reporting directly to the President of Operations and Finance, the Quality Director works closely with a multitude of internal and external functions, departments and stakeholders in developing and leading a quality culture that is unique to the organization, that is fluid and adaptable to market needs and demands, and that carefully blends the science and analytics of quality with the art and aesthetics of furniture design.

As the ideal candidate, you offer senior leadership experience in a Quality role within a ‘mass customization’ manufacturing environment of highly-configurable, precision-specific, and exacting consumer products - ideally in a large, multi-plant, geographically-dispersed structure.  You bring thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, product design and development (R&D) processes, global supply chains, and customer relationship management.

ASQ-certified preferred.  Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
