Job posting guidelines

To post a job opening on our Section's website, simply e-mail the particulars of the opening to our Placement Chair, at careers@asqottawa.ca. This site will be the primary listing of Job Opportunities since the Section no longer publishes a monthly Newsletter.

Content and Format

  1. Advertisements must be for a position directly related to the quality profession.
  2. Please provide postings in MS Word, Word Perfect, or plain text, for easy conversion into a format suitable for posting on the web site. Alternatively, you can simply provide the website address of an existing advertisement, and we will provide a link to this.
  3. All graphics and icons, if any, should be submitted with the posting.
  4. Documents should include the name, address and email address for the applicant to reply to as well as a clear description of the position.
  5. The textual content may be edited for the website, and a brief summary of the position will be included in the ASQ Ottawa Section Newsletter.

Cost
There is currently no charge for posting a position on this website.

Duration

For specific positions, normally the posting is kept in place for two newsletter cycles, two months from time of posting or until we are informed that the opening has been filled. However these are only guidelines and we may at our discretion extend or shorten the duration. Please let us know if you want a job to be posted for a specific length of time.

We accept job postings from agencies as well as employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the ongoing quality review process for all business divisions, business units and functional groups in XXXXXXX, within the framework of the XXXXXXX Quality Management System
  • Facilitates improvement projects in the development cycle as required on behalf of the Business Divisions in XXXXXXX
  • Aids product life cycle managers in measuring and improving their processes
  • Works with the Customer Relations and Quality Engineering groups to understand customer impacting issues, work to understand root cause then facilitate elimination of root cause if in the development cycle
  • Manages the Quality Systems group
  • Implements, monitors, maintains and facilitates improvements to quality program standards such as ISO9000, TL9000, Bellcore CSQP, and Product Life Cycle Processes
  • Designs and implements an audit and verification process to comply with registration requirements
  • Conducts special audits and reviews as required
  • Highlights areas for improvement to all the above groups and facilitates resolution of issues.
