Quality Engineer, Senior

The QA department is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team. Each role will define, develop, implement and maintain quality and reliability methods, standards and systems to ensure contracted quality requirements for products and services are consistently achieved.
Contributes to the design, development and implementation of comprehensive product assurance plans providing feedback and corrective action for engineering, manufacturing, service and field operations and suppliers performance.
Liaises with project and program team members including customer quality assurance representatives on technical and quality matters.
Supports education and training processes ensuring quality standards awareness.
Prepares written inspection and test procedures.
Conducts statistical quality control and analysis activities.
Develops, implements and maintains preventative quality systems to reduce appraisal failure and scrap costs.
Analyses defect reports and returned products recommending corrective action to minimize the recurrence of non-conforming materials, products and services.
Reviews engineering, manufacturing and service operation work processes, plans and products for completeness and compliance.
Develops documentation programs to ensure.
Education and Experience
* BSc in science or engineering.
* 3-6 years relevant experience in manufacturing.
* Membership on the American Society of Quality (ASQ) or Society of Reliability Engineers is an asset.
* Good knowledge of quality regulations and standards, statistical calculation and measurement and manufacturing processes.
* Strong knowledge of inspection methods in design, fabrication and production of electronic equipment. Demonstrated skill in using test and measuring equipment. Working knowledge of GMP, TQM and ISO standards.
* Superior analytical and problem solving skills, creativity, organizational and leadership skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.
